Hi all,

I’m trying to open eturret.xmf which refers to eturret.h5 file. However, Paraview (5.6.2) crashes and I’m not sure where to find any error output.

I created the xmf file myself; my guess is that there is something wrong with it. I’ve been trying to follow along the lines of this [link](https://www.paraview.org/Wiki/ParaView/Data_formats#Reading_a_time_varying_Raw_file_into_Paraview%7C). About the h5 I’m fairly confident. It should display a mesh with attributes ‘displacement’ and ‘deformation’ containing 3 timesteps.

question 1: It’s there any wrong with the xdmf formatting?
question 2: Is there a way to find error output after Paraview crashes?

Any additional info required, let me know. Thanks!

You can validate your .xmf using this .dtd file :
