thank you mathieu, i will modify my comment, still i prefere to leave the complete solution, as in my case paraview was not asking for the terminal…or it was not promped.

I’m in a similar situation: I run ParaView client on my workstation (windows) to connect to a remote pvserver on a cluster (ubuntu). I used to start pvserver manually but thanks to @otaolafr’s instructions I finally managed to start it automatically.
Thanks to the documentation I managed to customize the .pvsc file to fit my need and now I can smoothly connect to any machine on the cluster.
