Cannot open file from external drive

Hi everyone,
I’m using Paraview 5.13.0 installed via flatpak under Fedora Workstadion 40. Unfortunately, Paraview does not detect my plugged in memory card which is mounted at /run/media//. Actually, the whole /media folder does not appear.
I tried refreshing the favourites list and creating a symlink from the memory card to /home, but neither worked. Not sure if that was bad practice, but I also changed the rights of the whole /run/media/ to my user, but it didn’t help.
After seeing that the feature was successfully merged as given by @aron.helser, I’m surprised it does not work in 5.13.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Are you able to navigate there starting from / ?

Hi Mathieu,
thanks for the reply. In the Open Files Dialog I can navigate to /run, but I do not see the /media folder.

What if you mount it manually using the mount command ?

Thanks for the suggestion. Mounting the sdcard to a folder in my home directory manually works indeed. I will proceed mounting it permanently and this should do the job. Still wondering, if this is expected behavior. But thanks for the good workaround.

This is definitely an issue, do you think you could open it on our gitlab?
