Hi, I’m rendering 3D Glyphs from a VTP file and would like to create a cross section of them. However the “Clip” and “Slice” filters have no effect. My ParaView version is 5.4.1. Do you have any advice?

It sounds like you are using the 3D Glyphs representation to represent the mesh from your VTP file. To get the effect you are looking for, you will need to instead apply a Glyph filter to the VTP file. The difference is that the first one shows glyphs but does not generate geometry you can work with, whereas the Glyph filter actually generates geometry you can Clip and Slice.
