Combining Multiple tiff files to create 3-D data

Is it possible to combine a couple thousand .tiff files that each of which represent a CAT scan slice into one 3-D file in paraview. I would then want to threshold the whole 3-D file

Using the TIFF Series Reader with the Read As Image Stack option enabled, multiple TIFF files can be read as a single 3D volume image data.

However, the ability to read thousands of TIFF files simultaneously depends on the memory capacity of the machine. If you cannot read them, you may need to reduce the resolution of the TIFF files.
