Hi, I have a group of 12 *.xmf 3D volumes (see pic). Each model correspond to a different time-step. Therefore, each model has its own attribute, however when i hit “play” to see how this evolves in time for each time step it’s not able to change the attribute, and it keeps the first one (for exemple) sending an error msg: “Fail to locate selected scalars. Will use image scalar by default” .
I dont know what to do. I’ve tried doing step by step by hang, changing each time the attibute by hand, but then, when i hit play it’s still not able to do it on its own.
I really need to see this as an animation, and i find no point on having to do it by hand then.
Just in case someone else runs into the same problem in the future, the root of the problem was that with each time step in the XDMF file (temporal collection) the <Attribute Name= section changed:
All that was required was to change the <Attribute Name= for each time step to be exactly the same name. The attribute DataItem can refer to a different file for each time step, but you want the attribute name to stay constant.
