I’m attempting to install ParaView on a system running SLES 12 SP5. I downloaded from the “Download ParaView” page, ParaView-5.13.3-MPI-Linux-Python3.10-x86_64.tar.gz. After extracting, when attempting to run I get the following error:
qt.qpa.plugin: Could not load the Qt platform plugin "xcb" in "" even though it was found.
This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
Available platform plugins are: xcb.
error: exception occurred: Subprocess aborted
I saw the page in the FAQ about Ubuntu and xcb (I'm using Ubuntu 22 and ParaView reports "Could not load the Qt platform plugin 'xcb'"), but I wasn’t sure how to translate those instructions to a SLES 12 system.
Is ParaView compatible with SLES 12 SP5? If so, what library or libraries do I need to install to resolve this xcb issue?
