Does ParaView support vthb files?

It appears ParaView doesn’t support vthb files, which I believe is a vtk format. Am I wrong? Should vthb files be supported?

This is indeed a vtk amr format and can already be opened by ParaView.

However, all files I have found either fails to load or crash.

When I tried, ParaView didn’t even know what reader to use. I will write up some bugs. Thanks Mathieu.

Which version of ParaView ?

File is from VTK examples - CompositeData.

ParaView does support vthb files. Try Sources -> Data Objects -> Hierarchical Fractal. Uncheck the Two Dimensional option. Then Save it as a vthb file. Then load it back by doing simple File -> Open. I just verified that this works.
