When I try to apply the extract selection filter I get the following error:
Warning: In vtkExtractRectilinearGrid.cxx, line 129
vtkPExtractRectilinearGrid (0x205bf500): Error while initializing filter.
this error also appears using the most recent nightly release.
Any Idea of what might cause the issue?

Would you mind giving us the code/state file that you use and the dataset so we can replicate the issue?
