Thanks Walter. I solved the issue. It was wrong the vtu’s path in the .pvd files. Now, it works properly.

Hello,

I also am new in ParaView ; and I also have errors when I try to open .pvd files. The software cannot find a reader for .pvd files, and ask me to choose one in a list, but none of them seems appropriate. I already tried to change the name file just to make sure it was not about a special character. Any idea on how to solve that ?
Thanks

Hi Jessica,
Did you check in the .pvd files the path of the .vtu files?. Another way to watch the .pvd file is to open all the .vtu files.
Good luck

Hi,

I can’t open any .vtu file either, the same message appears asking me to choose a reader. All the files can be opened by co-workers on their own computers, so I know the problem does not come from the files.

Hi,
If your colleagues can open the files maybe you should ask for their ParaView version and uninstall your version and reinstall it. If the files are ok, you only have to open file and click run, it should work.
