I have several vts files containing data which I am able to visualize as surfaces in ParaView. Afaik these are structured data although some doubt is eligible as stated in the discussion ParaView Support Sep 14. Unfortunately, I can not use information from VTK Data Model to verify as this page seems not to exist anymore.
However, I’d like to export these data as planes which can be read by a 3D modeling software, e.g. SKUA-GOCAD. This is the same question as in Public Kitware Dec 16, unfortunately, I am not able to derive a usable workflow from that discussion. Is there a general approach, e.g. a filter, to produce planes for 3D modeling software from data which are shown as surfaces in ParaView?
