Extending animation end time, but keeping old keyframe times

Hi,

I often find myself in a situation, where I have a “complete” animation set up, but then want to add some additional stuff at the end (an additional camera position, plotting something). However, once the animation is set up, there seems to be no real way to extend it. When I increase the “End Time”, all that does is scale up the whole animation, most importantly shifting all keyframe times, so that I essentially get the same animation as before.

Is there a simple way to extend the animation pipeline that I simply haven’t figured out or is it necessary to write a python script to cover this basic functionality?

This is indeed a limitation, the only way is the python scripting.
