Extending "Plot over line" to a plane

I like the filter “Plot over line” to show the profile of data along the line. However, is it possible to generalise it to “Plot over plane”? The aim is to place a slice plane through a 3D vector field, and then to create the profile of the cross-section along the x axis. Thanks.

Hello Maria, Welcome to the ParaView community.

You can simply do the following :

  • Create a slice in the plane you are interested in
  • Add a plot over line, place the line in the X Axis on the plane.
