Failed to launch ParaView after GPU driver update

Hi,

I recently updated the drivers for the NVidia GPU on our workstation as it was required for the DualSphysics solver. But since then Paraview fails to launch (worked fine before). Updating to v6.0.0 did not solve it.

When attempting to start the program following message box is shown briefly:

I tried to find answers online, but wasn’t able to resolve the issue. Perhaps someone here has a better view on the problem.
Thanks!

In short, ParaView is unable to use your OpenGL libraries because they miss a critical entry point.

Can you share your GPU model, driver specifications and version ?

Sure. It’s an NVIDIA A10 GPU, driver version 539.41 (type DCH), 24GB GDDR6 video memory
CUDA driver v12.2
DirectX runtime version 12.0

This is an old driver as far as I can tell, update again ?

Thanks. But Paraview worked fine before the update with the even older driver, so I wonder if it could be another setting somewhere.
Also, it’s a work pc to which I don’t have admin rights myself. So using a portable version of Paraview and have to be sure how to make it work before getting IT involved.

Well, you updated your graphic driver and it broke ParaView rendering, so the cause is the driver update and there isnt much ParaView can do to alleviate that.

Ok, thanks for your answers. We’ll look into that then.
