I am new to ParaView, I would like to know if it is possible to use ParaView as a post processor of FDS (by NIST) and how to do it.
What kind of format should I use?

Welcome to the ParaView community, Enrico!
From my quick scan of the FDS user guide, it appears you can export to Plot3D files (.q extension), which should be readable into ParaView.
