Hi
I have exported from fluent in .encase format the different data files that correspond to different time instants. They are loading as separate files but i want to see the transient animation and the time averaged plots. For that i need to group them together in a single file. how can i do that in paraview?
thanks
Please share your data
Hi, I have shared the data via WeTransfer. There are 2 time steps for now. I need to group them so that i can do transient analysis in Paraview, like video or taking time averaged plots, etc. thanks!
Please share .scl files too
I have sent-please let me know if you can work with them
So you are working with separate file for each timestep ? Can you store them all in a single encas file instead ?
Like just copy paste them into a single file just i have done to sent them to you?
The simulation has generated seperate .encas files not in a single file
I’m afraid ParaView does not support opening multiple encas file and putting them together as multiple timesteps, it should be pretty simple to add though.
Means i have to add them externally and then open it in Paraview?
You have two solutions:
- Configure your simulation to output a single file with multiple timesteps inside
- Use another format that support reading as a file series in ParaView
Yea the first one involves re-calculating the solution again which will take 2-3 days. For the second one, i do not exactly know what reader to use to open these multiple files in Paraview.
Many, that depends on which format you can output/convert to tbh
I do not exactly have an idea-which format should i use to convert these .encase files for opening in paraview?
