How to get value at individual point from a color map in paraview

Hii,

I need to read map values from colour map in paraview can anyone please help me in this regard.

There are 3 ways to do that:

  • add the Probe Location filter, snap to the nearest point with P (arbitrary point) or Ctrl+P (mesh point) and confirm to see the results in the SpreadSheet View
  • use the Find Data (shortcut V) feature and the Select Points On tool
  • use the Hover Points On tool

I am attaching an image, I have the stress value scale bar in color map but value I am getting from point I’d does not lie in that range please let me know about it.

I can’t tell what is going on in that screenshot. I don’t see the field being colored listed in the data at all.

Share your data if you want someone to look at it.
