I have imported a particular geometry (.vtf) file from a chip design software. My geometry is essentially a circuit layout consisting of different layers that are part of the planar process associated with the fabrication of the chip. I wish to view each layer now. I have found this to be rather difficult in paraview as I have to use the ‘Slice’ option. This particular option is not friendly to use as you can easily chop many layers by playing with it (Each layer has thickness in sub micron and area could be huge.) Is there a better way to visualise the different layers of a planar process ?
Do you have a scalar value on each point or cell that allows you to identify in which layer the point/cell is ?
