How to view the cell edges in the inetrior of a 3d volume

When you have a 3D volume composed of multiple cells:

  • The Point Gaussian representation allows you to see interior points.
  • The Volume representation allows you to see the interior of the volume.
  • The Wireframe representation allows you to see edges, but only those on the volume boundary.

My question, then, is simply: Is there a way to represent the internal edges?

Hi Florian,

You can use the Extract Edges filter to extract all cell edges.

It is exactly what I was looking for, thanks. Just out of curiosity, is there a similar approach for faces that we can then visualize with transparency?

I am not aware of a filter that extracts internal faces. There could be one, but I don’t know of one.
