Issue with remote volume rendering using OptiX pathtracer

Hi,

I’m trying to do remote volume rendering of a simple TIF volumetric image, but upon activating ray tracing using the OptiX pathtracer, I get the following error message serverside:

( 356.520s) [pvserver        ]        VisRTXBackend.h:88     ERR| Error: The VisRTX backend does not currently support volumetric models

Would really appreciate it if someone could weigh in.

Remote rendering is unrelated. Volume rendering is still unimplemented (I believe) for the OptiX pathtracer. OSPRay’s pathtracer started to support volume rendering in ParaView 5.9. OSPRay’s raycaster has had it since 5.2 or so.
