Legacy rendering backend is forced under root when using Virtualbox+Linux(Debian)

It is strange, but when starting paraView in Debian installed in Virtualbox, 3D acceleration is available in user mode.
But somehow, when starting from root, it tells “Legacy rendering backend” is used, and paraview simply freezes.

I don’t know how did I come to this. When 3D acceleration is disabled in VM, user mode renders in software without problem.

But root with 3D acceleration fails. It is not critical, but somewhat not correct and worrisome.

I have had a similar experience with 3D acceleration in VirtualBox. It does not appear to work well with VTK or ParaView. I wonder how well that setting works with other 3D graphics programs.

Thank you. So nothing to worry. (putting away pick and shovel)
