Loading .plt file with Paraview version 5.11.2

Hi all,

I have recently installed Paraview 5.11.2 on Ubuntu 24.04 and try to read .plt files but I am facing issues.

When I open a file the .plt format is not recognized as a supported format, thus I am asked to chose a reader. I tried Tecplot Reader but it not not working. I got the error message:

ERROR: In vtkTecplotReader.cxx, line 2176
vtkTecplotReader (0x7aae6c00f120): champ3D_bot_fluid.plt: The record type

Works fine with the ParaView 5.13.0 binary release on Linux:

The thing is that when downloading the binary of version 5.13.1 (https://www.paraview.org/download/), actually, the downloaded version is 5.11.2. I think there is a bug on the website.

I downloaded the version 5.12.1 and it works fine.
