I have a problem with recording Quilt using Looking Glass Factory (LGF) plugin.
It is a known issue that saving animation as a video (e.g. avi) creates first good looking frames, and then the rest is somewhat deteriorated. For several years now as I a workaround I have been saving files as jpg or png and then assemble in a video.
The problem is, that with the LGF plugin, one can only save as video, which means that all most of the frames will be of very low quality.
Is there a way to ultimately fix the issue with saving the animation as video?
I tried on multiple platforms (macOS, Win) and I always see this issue.
Basically, when I try to save any animation (Record Quilt) the only option is avi format but then only a few frames have the right quality. This happens for any animation, not just LGF when exporting to avi.
The only way to save the whole animation, with quality is to click Save Quilt for every frame>
There does not seem to be a way to script it.
Is there any other workaround or a way to fix export with avi files?
Trying this out locally on my Mac, it seems to be doing an okay job saving frames to an AVI where all the frames have the same quality.
To make sure we have a mutual understanding of the issue, could you post an example .AVI file that has low-quality frames? If it is too big to upload, could you post it on a file transfer site like WeTransfer.com?
