I have a mesh cropped from a cell with pores (sinusoidal cells in liver) and I would like to know if it is possible de do measurements of diameter from the mesh (see picture below). I used the ruler but I could not manage to put the points right on the surface of my mesh and also it is hard to know if the line is orthogonal to the cross section or not.

First, it depends on the version of ParaView you are using. I know if you use 5.11.0-RC2, it is possible to do that. I think some of the earlier have this as well. Use ‘P’ to place on alternating points on your mesh or ‘Cmd+P’ to snap to the closest Mesh point.
