I tried to build ParaView 5.6.0 with the source files provided on the ParaView website on a Kubuntu 18.04 LTS system. The build process was successful, however the GUI does not work properly. Only the window borders are visible, the main window is transparent. Furthermore building plugins (which is the reason I need to use this version) using this build directory does not work either. The Problem doesn’t occur if I check out the current version 5.8.0 from git.
