Paraview 5.9.1 crashing when loading time steps results

Hi guys,

hopefully someone can help me with this.

I’m using Paraview 5.9.1 in windows 10, and I use it to check openFoam results.
The problem is that, if I load an openfoam transient results set everything is fine, but if i change the time to some later step than the initial ones, Paraview crashes.

A message window appears while crashing, but this stays blank and then disappears, so I have no idea on what kind of error is causing the crash.
Is there a way to see the latest error messages, may be in a log file somewhere? Any idea on what the problem could be?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks for your reply.

I tried to run Paraview like so in the cmd prompt in windows:

C:\Program Files\ParaView 5.9.1-Windows-Python3.8-msvc2017-64bit\bin>paraview.exe --log

But what happens is that a new window opens, shows some messages very quickly (too fast to be read), then the windows closes and nothing else happens (paraview does not start).

Am I doing anything wrong?
