I am currently working on a case.foam file that has about 25million cells. Whenever I work on data sets around the same size, Paraview suddenly crashes randomly (does not depend on which tool I use). Although I have the crash recovery settings turned on, I do not know why this occurs and I would like some help resolving this issue.
Also, I want to improve the general speed/performance whenever I use paraview but I don’t know where to start. I checked that my PC only uses CPU when I use paraview and I was wondering if using GPU would be faster. If so, how do I set it as such?

I am not sure how to share the data since the case file is large. I would appreciate it if you could explain or clarify how to do so.
As an additional note, my PC uses about half of my memory (30GB/64GB) so I hope it is not a hardware issue. For reference, here are some cases when I encounter sudden crashes:
Editing colour legend properties
selecting any properties in pipeline browser
using slice tool
3D interactions in render view (especially when visualizing surface LIC)

ParaView has the ability to show you memory use. Try opening the View/ Memory Inspector. Does that show the issue?
Looking at your thread, 25 million cells is probably very large for a standalone workstation. That would be medium size for a single node of a supercomputer.

I have looked at the Memory inspector and it only shows the System Total usage which is about 45%. I am not sure if this load affects the crashing issue, otherwise I cannot source the issue.

I am not sure how to reproduce the issue, but I have attached a state file which I am currently working on. One case I can think of is when I use the IntegrateVariables calculator and try to have RenderView and SpreadSheetView panels open at the same time, the software freezes and closes (crashes).
Perhaps this crashing issue may be some hardware issue on my side where I am using too much memory. Would using GPU help with this issue? (since I am only using my CPU right now).
I monitored the RAM and VRAM while interacting with the RenderView with the SpreadSheetView, Pipeline Browswer, and Properties panel open. It appears that the VRAM is maxed out. I assume that my file is too heavy for my graphics capacity…?
Looking at your screenshot you are using 100% of your GPU but there is no info about your VRAM. I doubt that you are actually running out of that cosidering you have 6 Gb of it.
