ParaView crashing when detecting overlapping cells in unstructured grid

When applying the Overlapping Cells Detector (vtkOverlappingCellsDetector) to an unstructured grid, ParaView crashes (or sometimes hangs). We’re hoping to use this to determine what’s wrong with the attached mesh.

Version: 5.12.1
Platform: Windows 11

I reproduce the issue, this is likely cause by the presence of polyhedron in your dataset.

This should not happen though, could you open an issue: https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues ?
