ParaView Installation - Windows 10 Profession 64 bit

Installed successfully version 5.9.1-MPI-Windows-Python3.8-msvc2017-64bit
when attempting to run, received the following error message from Windows:
“paraview.exe - Entry Point Not Found”
“The procedure entry point MPI_ibarrier could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\ParaView 5.9.1-MPI-Windows-Python3.8-msvc2017-64bit\bin\vtkFiltersParallelDIY2-pv5.9.dll.”

Any ideas on how to correct my installation? Thanks!

Try downloading the non MPI enabled versions of 5.9.1. MPI isn’t even turned on by default, and it doesn’t help much. What WILL help is as we move forward, more and more of ParaView’s filters are being multi-threaded.
