Paraview instantly crashing when trying to do anything with *.sgy files

Hi there,

I am completely new to Paraview, and am hoping to use it for my Masters work. I am trying to work with *.sgy files. Whether it’s attempting to visualise it in the 3D space, or updating the properties, my computer just shows the blue circle mouse before closing the application. There are no error or crash messages in this process.

Please could you guys help me out here.

This is just one of the files. It is captured from a US RADAR Q25 GPR.

There is a lot of error like this when opening the file:

Data sample format code 1280 not supported.
Unsupported data format code : 1280

Then it crashes.
