Paraview macOS xQuartz "Painter not Active"

I have been able to open Paraview using xQuartz for the past couple of months with no problems. But lately, I have been getting the response:
“QPainter:: …: Painter not active”
for most of the QPainter attributes. This does not allow paraview to open at all.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I’m afraid this is not officially supported by ParaView.

Your issue sounds Qt related, which version of Qt are you using ?
