I would like to check if the property in ParaView called PedigreeNodeID is the node ID in my mesh, or if Paraview assigns this PedegreeNodeID differently than the ID of the nodes.

I believe that is the case. I’ve really only used ParaView with Exodus files, and both PedigreeNodeID and GlobalNodeID correspond to the Exodus numbering, while the ID field is the internal numbering used by ParaView, which is very different.
