Point Gaussian Render Bug

Hello, everyone!

I’m a new user of Paraview and I’m having some trouble with the visualization of the point gaussian. All particles are shown as triangular shapes with some strange color (as shown in the picture below):

I’m currently using paraview 5.7.0 but I’ve tried to install newer versions and the same problem apears.

I’m running Paraview on a WSL Ubuntu 20.04 on Windows 11.

After some minutes playing the simulation Paraview crashed a freezed:

Hope someone can help me!

My suggestion would be to use ParaView 5.12.0, and don’t use the Point Gaussian representation. Try using the Glyph filter. Does that help?

Good point, but PointGaussian should be working anyway.

Not also that we don’t officially support WSL on Windows. You may have run into a limitation with graphics driver support available in the Ubuntu system - we have not pursued supporting this configuration, and find that many ParaView customers find various problems with it.

Thats probably it. I have paraview installed in a Ubuntu Virtual Machine and it works just fine. I’ve installed almost every version of paraview and always have the same issues.
