print fps on screen

Hi,

Is there a functionality to print the fps on screen?
I found this vtk plugin:

I just want to be sure that this idea will work, or if maybe the ui appilcation already has this option that needs to be activaed.

Edit -> Settings -> Render View -> Click on cogwheel to show advanced options
Scroll down to the bottom to find Miscellaneous -> Show Annotation

Also, the example you linked is a nice one, but not needed in ParaView.
