Progress bar not progressing 5.10.0

Hi all,

I just installed openfoam12 using Ubuntu 22.04 and when I tried to run the example on the openfoam website the “foamRun” command worked perfect and it ran the simulation. However when I tried to open paraview to view the results by using “paraFoam” it showed an error: “QStandardPaths: wrong permissions on runtime directory /run/user/1000/, 0755 instead of 0700
I/O : uncollated”.

Paraview then opened with a progress bar at the bottom right of 7.7GB, however this download doesn’t seem to progress, it is stuck at 1.0/7.7 GB, and I can’t seem to figure out why. Even if I close Ubuntu and paraview and reopen simply as an app it doesn’t work and has the progress bar.

This is not a progress bar, this is your local memory usage.

You can just use ParaView by clicking on the buttons, eg File → Open
