Hi Mathieu,

A relevant or maybe irrelevant question:

I tried to extract a set of points to form polyline with interactive point selection + ExtractSelection filter.

It turned out that it forms correct point cloud, but the result in spreadview shows that the points are sorted by the Point ID. Is there a way to avoid this sorting?

This is expected, how do you want to sort them except by id ?

Thanks for the quick reply

To form a polyline (or I should say “a set of segments”?), I want a way so that the connectivity relationship between points is kept as how I select them, does it make sense?

Hi @Magician

It makes sense, but is not supported directly by ParaView.

What you could do is to extract your points then use the PolyLine source and the “p” gesture to create a line.
