Spray displayed in ParaView

Hi guys,

I’m doing spray simulations with CONVERGE and displaying them in ParaView. I import the parcel_00…vtu file and ParaView will display automatically the spray for me. The imported file contains the parcel loaction from my simulation and some variables e.g. radius of droplets inside the parcel.

I’m trying to understand what ParaView is actually displaying then? It looks like Paraview is displaying a point for every parcel (location). Does anyone have further understanding or knowledge than me and could help me?

(can’t share the data cause it’s not my own)

That’s exactly right. What’s more, a “vertex” cell is added for each point, which means you can display the points and apply things like the Threshold filter, which only works with cells, to the points.
