Hi,

Among Mathieu’s very interesting method, where a point is selected from the bottom of the tower, it seems better to select a center point. Here, the Cell Centers filter is available to obtain the center of the tower bottom. See the following movie.

I managed to do it, the output of the transform was a bit different that what I thought, you just have to add a AppendAttributes to make it work.

  • Load your state file
  • Click on the extract selection
  • Press Ctrl, keep it pressed and click on Transform
  • Add an append attributes filter, apply
  • Setup the 3DGlyph rep as usual, but using normals_input_1 as orien vector.

But I think using CellCenters would also make sense, you still need the normals transform trick though.
