transparant object

Dear sir
I am doing DEM simulation in LIGGGHTS and while analyzing the result, I want to make the geometry transparent. But while changing the Opacity less the 1.0 the geometry completely disappears.

Welcome to ParaView, @rahul.

Do you get any error or warning messages when you change the opacity to less than 1.0? Does the object appear at some angles but not others if you rotate the camera around?

Another thing to try is to find out if it your hardware/OS/etc., rather than your data. Try the following:

  • ParaView 5.6.0
  • Sources/ Alphabetical/ Wavelet. Apply.
  • Change Outline to Surface.
  • On Properties tab, try changing Opacity to 0.5.

Does that work?

I don’t get any error message when I change the opacity to less than 1.0.
I don’t see any object if I change opacity to less than 1.0, even if I rotate the camera around.
