Abaqus Rainbow colormap

If you’ve ever found yourself needing to make a comparison plot between an Abaqus result and ParaView visualization, you’ve probably wanted to use the Abaqus rainbow “spectrum”. I’ve transcribed Abaqus’ rainbow spectrum into a ParaView colormap that you can import into ParaView:

abaqus_rainbow.json (668 Bytes)

For example, one of these is an Abaqus result rendered in Abaqus/CAE, while the other is a result from a different solver rendered in ParaView.

What do you think @wascott @cory.quammen ?

I think it’s a great Tip and Trick!

I somehow think this was a feature request to include it in ParaView

Good tip and tricks indeed.

Yep, great tip and trick.
I’m good with it being included in ParaView, as long as the default page isn’t modified.

Write it up, Sandia will fund it?

Figured I’d go ahead and add an MR, if it’s useful.
