Hi,
I propose adding an option in chart view to draw the outline (bounding box) of the chart. This is the preferred style in some contexts. It is, for instance, the default style in matplotlib. It would add customization to charts in Paraview without (presumably) much work and with a clean interface (a new toggle in properties should suffice).
Here is a detailed description and a few examples of what I mean by the outline of the chart and a non-ideal workaround to achieve the desired result.
