Importing/installing external modules in 5.8

I saw from another thread that version 5.8 would allow for importing external python modules unlike the previous versions. I’m not familiar with the steps for doing so. Could someone kindly elaborate on how to proceed?

The link to the post mentioned: ParaView - Scipy Module

I’m using Windows 10 and wish to install Cantera if that makes a difference

@Mohammed_Fuad_Choudh : You can always build paraview yourself to achieve that.

@ben.boeckel : what is the status of using external python modules in the release ?

I believe the official binaries still ship their own Python because it causes fewer issues and confusion. I think because of that, the “bring your own Python” binaries never got the attention they’d need to make them officially supported.
