the feature request is toggle to save comments (on/off to save comments or not) or drop-down menu with ‘save comment and empty lines/save comments/save empty lines/remove extra lines’ the idea is self explanatory, as we have the save or not the render part, to save or not the automatically generated comments (and or empty lines).

the simplest would be a toggle version, to set on/off the commented lines, if off this line will not be created at all (not replacing them by empty lines)
