Why don’t we add a slider bar (is that what it is called?) on the slice filter, and all filters that use the plane tool, in the Properties tab? Then users could move the slice plane even if they are zoomed in. When you turn Auto Apply on, this really makes an easy way to drill into your data. Cases where I think this would work would be Slice, Clip, Contour, maybe Clip by Scalar. Not sure if it should be default or advanced.

Hi Walter, do you know if there has been any progress in this direction?
I would like to suggest adding sliders in the “Extract Subset” filter, which would make it much easier to isolate regions of interest in 3D data. .
