Why won't my paraview work?

Hi,

I recently had Paraview up and running on my computer, but now it seems that it won’t even open anymore! My laptop is less than a year old, so I suspect it isn’t that, but I’ve tried uninstalling and re-downloading multiple times to no avail! I’m running on Windows 11, and get a blank screen with an output message box. Please help!

Try removing your config files: https://www.paraview.org/Wiki/ParaView_Settings_Files

Ideally, keep a copy somewhere and share them here.

I’m really sorry, I have no idea what that means atall!

  • Open your file explorer
  • Put this as the adress: %APPDATA%\ParaView
  • Delete all files there
  • run ParaView again.

Thanks for this. I’ve given this a try but I’m still getting the same problem. I’ve deleted everything associated with paraview from laptop, and still it’s not happeneing. Any other ideas on how to sort it?
