I would like to request the possibility to visualize brep CAD files. in the recent versions paraview gained the possibility to open step files which is AWSOME, but would like to ask that to also add the support for the brep file format, I imagine that the STEP format the OCCT was used to bring this capability, OCCT should normally also support brep
Indeed, adding BREP support should be pretty simple.
As a matter of fact, it was added in F3D recently which was the initial implementation of the OCCT reader.
Thanks for the answer, this means that It will be integrated in the future? and also FYI, the package of f3d in the apt seems to be outdated, f3d --version gives 1.2.1

As everything in ParaView and open source in general, it requires contribution of either time or money, see this: How are features and bug fixes incorporated into ParaView?

This is probably because you are using an old version of Ubuntu and also this is the responsability of debian packagers, not F3D developers.
You can always try the binary release of F3D though: Installation | F3D
