How are features and bug fixes incorporated into ParaView?

As with all open source projects, adding features and fixing bugs takes developer effort. That effort may originate from volunteer community contributors, or through paid professional services offered by companies like Kitware. Features and bug fixes are prioritized by the needs of contributing community members and by professional services customers.

Note that contributions are vetted by a rigorous community review and testing process; therefore it is recommended that significant changes are discussed with the community before extensive work is undertaken.

Can’t tell you how grateful I am for your efforts here. I’ve started my personal research program after 40 years of reserach and engineering and could not do it without you and open source CFD tools. I’ve had great support from the PV Forum, have made fantastic progress from no knowlege and understanding and know I can get more Forum help when required. Thank you ALL!!!
